On Monday, March 10, 2025, in the social hall of the Secondary Vocational School of Electrical Engineering in Pilsen, representatives of the Pilsen Region, competition partners, and individual domestic and foreign schools ceremoniously opened the 6th annual international robotic competition ROBO-VEHICLE PILSEN 2025.
The competition itself was introduced and opened by JUDr. Jaroslava Havlíčková MBA, head of the Department of Education, Youth and Sports of the Pilsen Region, and the Deputy Governor of the Pilsen Region for regional development, Mr. Petr Vanka. The competitors were also welcomed by the Vice-Rector for Creative Activities and Doctoral Studies of the University of West Bohemia, doc. Ing. Jiří Hammerbauer Ph.D. One of the organizers, the Secondary Vocational School of Electrical Engineering Pilsen, was briefly presented by its director Ing. Jaroslav Černý, while Ing. Jiří Jedlička introduced a competition partner, the company Konplan s.r.o., and another partner, Possehl Electronics Czech Republic, was introduced by Ing. Radek Smetana.
Representatives from the directors or teachers at the various schools then explained, for example, what fields their schools teach, the activities they engage in, or their school campuses. Some students from the competing schools also took to the stage to present their schools through a short video or presentation.
After a communal dinner, all the competitors busily prepared for the rides of their robotic vehicles, which awaited them the following day on Tuesday, March 11, 2025, at the at the Techmania Science Center.
